Autumn in the north country is an exceptionally beautiful season, especially in a forest of maple trees. With colors ranging from bright yellow to deep red, often on the same tree, the maple is the essence of autumn color. I make a point to photograph this maple each year because of it’s colorful foliage and it’s strong and graceful limbs. This photograph was taken in a very light rain without any color-enhancing filter. One of my best selling images, this photograph has been published by several magazines, including a use as a cover shot.
