One sure sign that spring is in full swing is the flowering of the redbud trees. I found this young tree in full blossom at the Bernhiem Forest Botanical Garden in Kentucky. The bright colors of the flowers and the dark outline of the trunk made the redbud stand out against the pale green leaves of the trees in the background.
