This photograph was taken deep in the back country of Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario. We had canoed for several days in rainy, foggy conditions when the weather finally broke and produced a starry night followed by a picture perfect morning. I had scouted out this shot the night before and was up well before sunrise to set up the camera. When the sun broke the horizon and lit up the granite and the fog on the lake, I knew my efforts had paid off. This image is printed on glossy paper to bring out the minute detail.
