One North American bird that has benefited greatly from the helping hand of concerned people is the Eastern Bluebird. Once quite rare due to loss of suitable breeding space, the bluebird has made a remarkable comeback thanks in large part to the popularity of installing bluebird houses. This male lives year-round on our property and he and his mate usually produce two broods of young each year.
