This image is a perfect example of being in the right place at the right time and being prepared. I set up to photograph the clouds and the reeds reflected in the lake just as the sun broke the horizon to my right. At that moment, a bank of fog moved into the scene hiding the far shoreline. The combination of the fog and the reeds in the morning light gave the scene an ethereal quality that I have never witnessed again.
