This is the scene that greeted me one October morning outside my tent at Kingston Lake near the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. After a clear and cold night, a mist from the relatively warm lake rose into the perfectly calm air. The crescent moon hung high in the eastern sky as the colors of dawn spread out on the horizon. This was one of the most serene moments in nature that I have ever experienced. The image is printed on glossy paper to ensure the minute detail and spectacular color is maintained.
